Happy new year’s everyone! Last month I took a trip to the big island ! I finally got to get out of Honolulu and go some place else during the pandemic.
Things you need to know before traveling to hawaii:
– Anybody going to inter island traveling or coming from the mainland or from a different country needs to take a covid test and it has to be negative in order to bypass the quarantine. But if you do go to Kauai, no matter what you have to quarantine.
– Print everything out before your flight. Make sure you have your QR codes ready and ID. It makes your process go by fast once your at the airport.
– Follow what the safe travel website says and you will be fine.
I took southwest and paid $100 both ways. Its like $50 each way! Soo cheap. This was my first time taking southwest and I honestly love it. You get to choose anywhere you want to sit once you get there. I would do group A because you get to board the plane first.
I stayed with my aunty when I went and she rented a car. I didn’t spend much when i was there so it was a plus. They have almost everything Honolulu has so I didn’t want to spend that much.
I stayed from Dec 19-22. It was a small trip but I had a lot of fun. I am definitely going back this year in the summer time.
